Mercedes Landazuri is an accomplished banjoist specializing in traditional jazz and Brazilian bossa nova. She performs regularly in Chicago with several groups, including Bossa Saravah, Roommate and Chicago Samba. She performs regularly at various Chicago venues such as Schuba's, Katerina's, Chambers, Rumba, the Empty Bottle, Beat Kitchen, the Hideout, Subterranean, Raw Bar, Morseland and the Heartland.
